It’s been a few months since Cody Parkey lined up from 43-yards out to send the team to next round, only to have him miss and the Philadelphia Eagles walk out Soldier Field with a win.
On Friday, head coach Matt Nagy held a kicking competition at the rookie minicamp where all kickers had to connect from the same distance that Parkey missed at, and it went about as expected.

Six misses on eight tries just lets you know how hard it is to hit from that distance. Now, think about trying to do that while thousands are watching you and millions of others are watching at home. It makes it even further.
Unlike the rookie kickers when they missed, Parkey was booed off the field and threatened on social media over the course of a week afterwards.
It’s going to be a long offseason for the Bears.
