It was reported on Wednesday afternoon that FBI agents had raided Halas Hall, the official headquarters of the NFL’s Chicago Bears, as well as the home of the team’s defensive coordinator, Alan Willliams.
But apparently, reports of Halas Hall being raided by the FBI are false. This is according to multiple credible reporters, including ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, Chris Emma of 670 The Score and Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.
The Bears haven’t provided any details on the matter, but Williams did hand in his resignation earlier on Wednesday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The NFL insider passed along a statement written by Williams, who cited the desire to look after his health and family:

It’s certainly a chaotic day in the Bears’ organization. Quarterback Justin Fields made comments about his “robotic” play, which many interpreted as his way of calling out the organization’s coaches.
And then on top of that, the team released veteran signal-caller Nathan Peterman, per ESPN’s Field Yates.
The Bears are off to a disappointing 0-2 start for the first time since the miserable 2016 season. They’ll try to avoid a 3-0 start when they visit the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday.
