The NFC North has never been as wide open as it is right now.
On March 15, Aaron Rodgers said he planned to play for the New York Jets. We all waited for it to actually go down.
The Green Bay Packers and Jets finally agreed to a trade that will go down in NFL history. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Jets are sending the Packers the 13th (first round), 42nd (second round), and 207th (sixth round) overall picks in Thursday’s draft and a second-round pick in 2024 that will become a first-round pick in the event that Rodgers plays 65 percent of Jets offensive snaps next season.
Not only are the Jets happy about this deal in getting the QB they wanted, but a team in the NFC North is also thrilled to see him go.
The Chicago Bears Twitter account hilariously reacted to the trade by posting a GIF of a bear waving.
Aaron Rodgers has a 24-5 record against the Bears in his career. The last time the Bears beat him was back in 2018. It’s not hard to see why they are happy to see him go.

The Packers are officially moving on from Rodgers, a four-time MVP who is arguably the greatest player for a franchise that has as much history as any in the NFL. The Jets get the quarterback they think can push them into being a Super Bowl contender.
Even though the trade has been a foregone conclusion for a while, it’s still a shock to see it go down.
The Packers are now expected to take a major step back as they try and figure out if Jordan Love is the man going forward. It is certainly going to be some growing pains.
