Black Monday after the regular season is always a treacherous day in the league but moves are made throughout that week and they continued today.
NFL Black Monday came and went without the Chicago Bears making any changes to their coaching staff. That changed on humpday.
On Wednesday, the team made a bunch of staff changes as offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and members of his staff have been fired.
The Bears have also fired quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko and wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert.
Getsy served as the team’s offensive play-caller for two seasons, but his failure to get the most out of quarterback Justin Fields most likely contributed to his firing.

The Bears offense ranked 18th in points and 20th in yards. The rushing offense was actually solid as they ranked 2nd in yards, but the passing game was a disaster as it ranked 27th in yards, and 25th in net yards per attempt.
In 13 games played, quarterback Justin Fields passed for 2,562 yards with 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Fields also rushed 120 times for 657 yards and four scores.
He has likely played his final game for the franchise as many expect the team to select a new quarterback in the 202 NFL Draft.
