The love affair the Bears fan base once had with Mitch Trubisky seems to be over.
The never-ending struggle for the Bears to find a franchise quarterback was thought to be over the franchise drafted Trubisky in 2017, but now after 31 starts, the fan base just doesn’t know anymore.
Mitch Trubisky made his return to the Chicago Bears starting lineup after missing Week 5 with an injury, but his performance was less than ideal. The Bears lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and the team was barely competitive on offense or defense, as their lone touchdown prior to garbage time came on a 102-yard Cordarelle Patterson kickoff return.
One fan had finally seen enough, so he took to GoFundMe and started a campaign to get enough money to buy out Trubisky’s contract and send him packing.
“We need a new Quarterback! Let’s buy out Mitch Trubisky’s contract!”
The Bears fell to 3-3 on the season, with their next two games coming against the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles.
