The Chicago Bears are getting roasted on social media after a strange cylinder showed up in their recent video.
The team put a video out on YouTube this week, offering fans a close-up of the process leading up to their trading of the No. 1 overall pick for the 2023 NFL Draft to the Carolina Panthers.
The footage is actually pretty cool and informative. We’ll dare say it’s a good watch for any football fan, whether or not they support the Bears. However, in showing some of their player evaluation diagrams, the team opened itself up to some trolling.
At one point in said video, general manager Ryan Poles is seen having a discussion with his staff while making reference to a graphic on which a cylinder with the word “Analytics” on it. We can’t be sure what the function is supposed to be there but it does seem like everything is filtered through that funnel based on the arrows.
Of course, Twitter did not miss.

To be fair to everyone poking fun at the Bears, it’s easy to see why people would find a team dropping analytics on a random cylinder hilarious.
The video was supposed to give fans a clearer picture of how the team conducts business, but that bit must have left them fuzzier than they were before.
