At some point this offseason, the Chicago Bears quietly changed their primary logo.
The secret came out this week and fans are loving the change. The Chicago Bears haven’t had any Earth-shattering news come out of training camp, so this easy change to the helmet was welcome news.
The team has officially changed its primary logo to the classic bear head, and the classic ‘C’ is now the secondary logo. Both logos were technically co-primary logos since the 1990s.

The wishbone “C” logo has been used on the Bears’ uniforms since 1962.
“The Bear head has been a co-primary mark for many years,” the Bears said in a statement to NBC Sports Chicago. “It is unique to the Chicago Bears brand. This minor change simply provides clarity for retail, media, and other team and league partners to start the creative process with the Bear head.”
Fans can see it in action when the Bears take the field for this season on Sept. 10 against the Green Bay Packers. Before the games become real, the team will play three preseason games, the first of which will be this Saturday (Aug. 12) against the Tennessee Titans.
A 3-14 season can be a great teacher and the Chicago Bears need to remember those lessons when they begin the 2023 season. They lost by blowouts. They lost heartbreakers. They lost games to good teams and they lost games to bad teams which led to a top draft pick that saw them trade away to the Carolina Panthers.
Coming into this year for the 2023 season, the team has expectations, especially since Aaron Rodgers is gone to the AFC.
