The Chauncey Gardner-Johnson free agent saga with the Philadelphia Eagles will be discussed quite a bit after his departure from the team this offseason. In the meantime, the standout defensive player is speaking about his final game with the team.
Gardner-Johnson, who now plays for the Detroit Lions, is still irritated by the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
He’s so mad about it that he took to Twitter and claimed that the game would’ve played out differently if the teams played on natural grass.
“Run that bowl back on legit grass, the Dline SMASH that Oline I’m sorry,” Gardner-Johnson tweeted.
The Eagles, who held the lead at halftime of the Super Bowl, fell to the Chiefs 38-35 after they blew a double-digit halftime lead. The Chiefs were trailing the Eagles 24-14 as their offense was essentially nonexistent. However, their insane offense would wake up big time when it counted.
During the game, players slipped on the grass surface of the stadium in Glendale, Arizona, often chewing up chunks of sod. At least half a dozen Eagles players switched cleats during the first half in an attempt to get a better grip, including quarterback Jalen Hurts.

It can be argued that maybe the outcome would’ve been different but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs had to play on that same surface.
The Chiefs are the Super Bowl champions and the Eagles are hoping to get back to the big game to come out victorious this time around.
