Washington has officially signed first-round DE Chase Young to his rookie contract.
Chase Young, the second overall pick from the 2020 NFL Draft, was an easy decision to make as he was the most dominant pass rusher that college football has seen in years.
The 21-year-old inked a contract that is worth up to $34.56 million. Just like every first-round pick’s contract, there is a fifth-year option on his deal.
Young posted a picture of him signing his rookie contract on Twitter with the caption: “Time to leave my legacy.”
Young recorded 98 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, 30.5 sacks, eight pass defenses, and nine forced fumbles during his 3 years at Ohio State.
