The Chase Claypool era in Chicago started out bad and it is ending even worse.
Wide receiver Chase Claypool was made inactive for Sunday’s game, the first game he will miss this season. This comes on the heels of his comments to the media this past week in which he wondered if he’s being put in the best position to succeed by the Bears coaching staff.
Claypool had just gotten back in their good graces after finally looking like a player who wanted to be out on the field.
Now, the team is ready to trade him and it won’t take very much.
Claypool has four catches for 51 yards on the season. He had 14 catches for 140 yards in seven games last season and the overall production is far below what the Bears expected after sending a second-round pick to the Steelers to get him.
The team has yet to win a game with him on the roster.
