Chase Claypool put himself back into the good graces on Sunday with his play after he was called out by social media and his team for his lack of effort on the field.
The Chicago Bears gave him one more chance this past Sunday if his effort didn’t increase, he was going to be “shipped out,” according to Fox Sports Jay Glazer.
In Week 2, he finished the game with three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown, but it’s unknown if he impressed enough to change Chicago’s mind.
There’s at least one play he had that should have the franchise thinking differently and keeping him around.
During a run play, Claypool could be seen coming off the edge to deliver a massive block on a Tampa Bucs defender.
Despite him playing better and scoring a touchdown, the Bears have lost 12 straight games dating back to 2022 and Claypool has yet to win a game as a member of the team since his trade there from Pittsburgh.

The Bears do not look like a team that improved at all since last year and that is a major problem for a team that had the number one overall pick only to trade it for more assets.
