Injuries suck.
On the same day, the Cincinnati Bengals hinted at playing Chase Brown more, the rookie went down with a hamstring injury in Thursday’s practice.
On Friday, head coach Zac Taylor revealed Brown pulled his hamstring and would miss this week’s contest vs. the San Francisco 49ers. To make matters worse, the fifth-round pick out of Illinois could also miss more time after this week.
Brown didn’t play in the second half of their Week 6 win over the Seahawks after tweaking his groin. He told reporters he was good to go earlier this week but now things have been derailed.
With the rookie running back sidelined, Trayveon Williams and Zach Evans will be on hand as backup options behind workhorse Joe Mixon against the 49ers on Sunday.

The Bengals’ ground game has failed to get going this season. This injury also puts more pressure on the Bengals to either sign or trade for another running back ahead of next Tuesday’s NFL Trade Deadline.
The Bengals are 3-3 after shaking off their slow start to the season. Back-to-back wins and a bye week have them with all the momentum.
