Charissa Thompson recently shared a hilarious story about Larry David meeting Tom Brady during a recent episode of the Calm Down With Erin and Charissa podcast.
Thompson, who co-hosts the podcast with Erin Andrews, said David once bumped into Brady during the Kentucky Derby a few years back. After describing Tom Brady as a ‘sexpot,’ she says David wasn’t that impressed when he met the legendary QB.
“So we get in the elevator. The elevator’s packed. It’s that moment where you don’t know, should we wait for the next one? Are we getting in? Is everyone going to be OK if we suck it in, like everyone moves in?”
“So Larry, who hasn’t thought about any of this, he just goes into the elevator, but I’m like, OK. And we turn around and all of a sudden, we’re facing the doors and, like, up against the doors, and I hear this sultry, like tabasco, vanilla whiskey voice go, ‘Hello, Larry.’ And I was like, turn around and this sexpot that was Tom Brady in sunglasses and a Nick Fouquet hat, and I was like, ‘Holy s–t, I never thought this guy was hotter.’
And Larry goes, ‘Eh, Tom. Hey.’ And looks back at the elevator doors and says nothing else. And, like, we walk out, and, like, Larry does his, like, shuffle. And so then Tom continues, whatever, talking to him or whatever. But I think why everyone loves Larry is Larry can’t be bothered, whether it’s Tom Brady, Jeff Bezos or anyone in between. He’s like, ‘Meh.’”
