The first drive of Thursday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers ended with a terrifying moment.
Chargers tight end Donald Parham slammed his head on the field after reeling in what would have been a touchdown pass from Justin Herbert on fourth-and-goal. It was apparently clear that he was knocked out cold when his amrs went stiff.
He was eventually wheeled out while strapped down on a stretcher with his arms visibly shaking. The Chargers later announced Parham was in stable condition and being evaluated for a head injury at the UCLA Harbor Medical Center.
On Friday afternoon, the Chargers released a second health update on Parham Jr.
“Update: Tight End Donald Parham Jr. stayed overnight at UCLA Harbor Medical Center for observation after being diagnosed with a concussion. He is resting comfortably, alert and will likely be discharged from the hospital later today.”
