Las Vegas Raiders’ star pass rusher Chandler Jones once again called out team owner Mark Davis in another social media rant.
Last Sunday, Jones posted a series of private messages between him and Davis. Jones was unhappy with the club’s decision to send a crisis team to his home after the Super Bowl 49 champion went on a scathing social media rant against the club.
In a series of posts on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Jones went off on Davis while expressing his desire to play. In one post, the 33-year-old accused the Raiders’ owner of “holding a huge secret” that only Jones knows.

Jones did not play in the Raiders’ season debut against the Denver Broncos (a 17-16 win). Head coach Josh McDaniels wouldn’t say much on the matter, telling reporters it was “a personal situation and a private matter” that had had been “dealt with.”
Last year, the Raiders signed the future Hall of Famer to a lucrative three-year deal worth $51 million. Jones’ first season in Sin City was a disappointment, however, as he finished with just 4.5 sacks in 15 games.
Jones’ career track record (112 sacks, 30 pass defenses and 34 forced fumbles) strongly indicated that a bounce-back season was in store here in 2023. We’ll just have to wait and see how things play out between both sides, but it’s already not hard to imagine the possibility of Jones being traded soon.
