Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested Friday in Las Vegas.
Jones was arrested early Friday morning in Las Vegas just hours after the Raiders pass rusher released an array of troubling social media posts, including a video where he broke down in tears after bringing up Aaron Hernandez not committing suicide in prison.
New details have since emerged on that arrest.
He allegedly violated a domestic violence temporary protective order and was held on $15,000 bail, according to jail records. Jones was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center around 12 a.m. local time.
Jones reportedly stole items from outside of his ex-girlfriend’s house and then burned them in his backyard. He would then send videos to her of him doing so.

The Raiders and the NFL both released statements after Jones’ arrest:
He is slated for a Dec. 4 2023 court date for the incident.
The 33-year-old has not played this season and has been away from the Raiders since Labor Day weekend, when he made a series of social media posts aimed at the team, owner Mark Davis, general manager Dave Ziegler, and coach Josh McDaniels.
He even accused McDaniels of killing Aaron Hernandez. He also claimed players were being injected with fluoride and that CTE “doesn’t exist.”
Jones wrote on social media Monday night that he was taken to a hospital “against my will” last week by the Las Vegas Fire Department and later transferred to a behavioral health facility.
Jones is a two-time All-Pro and a four-time Pro Bowler in his 11-season NFL career. It’s clear that he will not be stepping foot on the field in 2023.
