The downfall of Chandler Jones continues.
Jones was arrested for violating a domestic violence temporary protection order on Tuesday. The former Raiders defensive end was arrested on two counts of the same charge in September and was released on a $15,000 bond.
“No further details surrounding the arrest were made immediately available.”
Jones was on the Raiders’ non-football illness list at the time of his first arrest and the team would part ways with him.
Since September, Jones’ online conduct has been unpredictable. The team refused to go into detail about his absence beyond stating that it was for personal reasons, and Jones’ friends and family have also been quiet.
He began posting several bizarre claims and outlandish accusations to social media against head coach Josh McDaniels, general manager Dave Ziegler, and owner Mark Davis. He also claimed he was taken to a mental health facility in Henderson on a court order.

Jones signed a three-year contract with the Raiders in the 2022 offseason and appeared in 15 games last season. In 2022, Jones appeared in 15 games for the Raiders and recorded 38 tackles, four and a half sacks, and one forced fumble.
He has not played in a single game in 2023 and it does not look like any team will bring him on given his erratic behavior off the field.
