Ex-football star Chad Johnson was in the mood to spread holiday cheer this Thursday, leaving a very generous tip at a steakhouse in Florida.
The former wide receiver dined at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Pembroke Pines on Thursday night and tried his best to ensure that his waitress, Valerie, will have a merry Christmas.
Johnson took to Twitter to share a screenshot of his bill, which set him back $81.35. His tip was a lot more than that, with the six-time Pro Bowl player tipping Valerie $1,000 for what we could assume was wonderful service.
He also signed the receipt “Merry Christmas” at the bottom.
Chad Johnson Is A Big Tipper
Johnson is used to such generosity. In May 2020, the 44-year-old left a four-figure tip at the Havana’s restaurant just outside of Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant had just reopened on the back of COVID-19 becoming a serious problem in the U.S. and around the world. Like most businesses, it must have experienced unprecedented struggles.
The former WR spent $37 at said establishment.

“Congrats on re-opening,” he wrote on his bill. “Sorry about the pandemic. Hope this helps. I LOVE YOU.”
