Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly the best quarterback in the NFL, with Tom Brady now retired. In fact, he was already ahead of the 45-year-old during the recent season, which ended in Super Bowl triumph.
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday to win their second championship in four seasons. And their backup QB Chad Henne announced his retirement immediately afterward.
Henne spoke to Adam Schefter on the latter’s podcast this week and ended up revealing that Mahomes wears the same pair of underwear for every Sunday game and has been doing so since at least 2018, which is when Henne joined the team.
The 37-year-old was discussing Mahomes’ preparation and attention to detail when he noted that there are some superstitions where it pertains to the reigning NFL MVP.
“He has to have a certain thing each and every day,” Henne told Schefter, “he comes in he does his work his notes are written out a certain way. Same pair of underwear, which probably not a lot of people know, on game day. He’s been wearing it ever since I’ve been a part of it.”

“There’s things that I’ve seen that nobody else has seen, but his preparation is unbelievable,” he added.
Henne pointed out that he might get some backlash from Mahomes given that he’s spilled the beans. But Schefter wanted details, asking about the color and brand, to which the erstwhile signal-caller replied with claims that they’re red and are either from Hanes or lululemon.
