CeeDee Lamb got his deal.
The Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb had been working hard towards a deal before they traveled to Cleveland to take on the Browns in Week 1 of the 2024 regular season.
Reports on Monday stated the two sides were “making progress” on a new deal. Soon, it would be reported that the Cowboys and All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb agreed on a four-year, $136 million extension with $100M guaranteed, including a WR-record $38M signing bonus.
Before that went down, Lamb had everyone on notice when he posted a picture of a black-suited Spider-Man earlier this offseason. However, he failed to provide any context of the picture.
“That’s my favorite superhero,” he said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “He’s entering his villain arc, and I’m coming back for vengeance, so that’s what that is.”

Lamb, who has been seen training solo and sharing his efforts on Instagram, was determined to get his new deal no matter what, as it seemed his holdout would head into the 2024 NFL season.
The deal comes months after the Cowboys exercised the $18 million fifth-year option on CeeDee Lamb’s rookie contract for the 2024 season.
The dynamic wide receiver recorded career highs of 135 receptions, 1,749 yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns, per ESPN.
Due to his play, he was named to his third straight Pro Bowl and earned first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones made it clear months ago that Lamb was one of three players the team hoped to sign to contract extensions, along with quarterback Dak Prescott and pass-rusher Micah Parsons.
One down, and now two to go.
The Dallas Cowboys Still Need To Make More Than Just CeeDee Lamb Happy
CeeDee Lamb may be happy with his new deal, but the team still needs to find ways to pay quarterback Dak Prescott and linebacker Micah Parsons.
Having a dynamic wide receiver is fine until you don’t have the QB in place to throw him the ball.
Scoring points is nice until you do not have the defensive star to prevent the other team from doing so.
The Dallas Cowboys still have a long way to go before they can relax.
