The Buffalo Bills suffered a heartwrenching playoff elimination to the Kansas City Chefs yet again after Sunday’s 27-24 loss at Highmark Stadium.
Tyler Bass played an unfortunate in the fiasco with his missed field goal.
It was all not his fault, however, as CBS announcer Jim Nantz decided this was a good time to jinx him by hyping him up and talking about the support he has from the team despite going one for three last week.
“Sean McDermott, after his one for three last week, he has tremendous support in the building, if he has to make one for us with the game on the line, he will”
Bass would kick the football wide right and all of Highmark Stadium would be in shock.
In Super Bowl XXV, Bills kicker Scott Norwood lined up for a game-winning field goal attempt, and like Bass, it sailed wide right, and with that, the Bills suffered what would be their first of four straight Super Bowl losses.

Nantz also spoke on that as well:
“No, he doesn’t make it,” Nantz said, as the ball sailed wide. And without missing a beat, he continued. “Wide right. The two most dreaded words in Buffalo have surfaced again.”
The Bills were knocked out of the playoffs by the Chiefs for the third time in four seasons. The Chiefs prevailed at Buffalo, with Patrick Mahomes winning the first road playoff game of his career.
The stage was set for Josh Allen to finally get over the playoff hump against Patrick Mahomes and he failed again.
Sunday night proved to be another dark day in Buffalo professional football lore.
