Russell Wilson got paid by the Denver Broncos to put them in the promised land and he has been terrible on the field this year.
Russell Wilson and the Broncos weren’t supposed to be 3-8, but that is exactly where they are during this first season with the veteran QB. Russell Wilson has struggled this season, throwing eight touchdown passes against five interceptions through 10 games, leading the worst offense in the league. The offense ranks dead last in terms of scoring offense with just 14.7 points per game and Wilson is having the worst season of his career by far.
NFL analyst Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus points out that Wilson has been so bad that he as yet to even out pace a QB who hasn’t played a single down in weeks.
“Carson Wentz has 2 more passing TDs than Russell Wilson this season and he hasn’t played since Week 6 and has been benched,” Monson said on Twitter. “Also, for those keeping track, Wilson still has comfortably more bathrooms in his house than TDs this season.”
If Carson doesn’t take another snap this year, he ends the season completing 144 of 232 passes for 1,489 yards, 10 touchdown passes, and six interceptions. He also took 23 sacks, fumbled six times and rushed for 79 yards. Washington had a record of 2-4 with him behind center.
Wilson finished Sunday’s loss 19-of-35 passing for 142 yards and the TD with no interceptions and a fumble lost. After backlash from fans earlier this year, Wilson stopped saying “Let’s Ride” following frustrating losses.

At this point, even if they win, he should just be quiet.
The Broncos (3-8) are on the road in Week 13 to face the Ravens (7-4).
