The Philadelphia Eagles have not been having the best few weeks.
Aside from losing in back-to-back weeks to the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys in blowout fashion, the team had to deal with reports of Philadelphia radio host Howard Eskin revealing that Alshon Jeffrey was the anonymous source ripping Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
What Josina Anderson reported:
“Well, with the team being 3-3, obviously, an Eagles source also talked to me about how that offense is functioning.”
“One of the things that they said is: ‘We need to make bleep simpler. Sometimes you just need to handle what is manageable.’ They said: ‘Even Peyton Manning knew when to check it down.’”
On Thursday, Eagles QB Carson Wentz was asked to address those sources and he had this to say:
“That stuff, if it comes out through the media, that’s not how we like to have things come out and that’s not how we’re going to discuss it,” Wentz said. “Those things are all in-house things and we’ve put them behind us. We’re going to keep that stuff tight going forward, for sure. … We don’t like when those things happen, without a doubt. It’s concerning. So we handle it internally and we move on.”
