What on Earth was Carson Wentz thinking?
With under two minutes to go and the Indianapolis Colts offense lined up near their own goal line, Carson Wentz tossed a left handed interception that led to six points for the rival Titans. He was clearly trying to avoid the safety on the play, as he had two Tennessee defenders all over him.
Thankfully for Wentz and the Colts, they got the ball back and were able to drive all the way down the field in less than 90 seconds to tie the game and force overtime. So, when it was all said and done, throwing a pick-six was clearly a better outcome than giving up a safety and having to kick the ball back to the Titans with under two minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.
This was the first interception Wentz has thrown since week 2 against the Rams. He now has just two interceptions on the entire season. He has 15 INTs in 12 starts as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
