He may have wanted to come out guns blazing on Sunday against his former team, the Cleveland Browns. But that hasn’t happened.
In fact, the Panthers offense is so bad that the fans have started booing Baker and his teammates.

That’s what happens when your team finds themselves trailing by two touchdowns early in their first game of the year.
The good news for the Panthers is that they were finally able to get on the board late in the second quarter, as a 50-yard pass from Baker Mayfield to Ian Thomas set up a Christian McCaffrey one-yard touchdown just a few plays later.
That score cut the Browns’ lead to 14-7, but they were able to tack on a field-goal to go up by 10 heading into the half.
