The bookmakers have predicted and are offering odds on the NFL team set to have the worst season in 2023, with franchises now scrambling to get things in order for the upcoming campaign.
As things stand, the Arizona Cardinals are projected to have the worst record in the league next term, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right behind and the Houston Texans in third.
Bettors have bought into the notion that the Cardinals will have the worst output throughout the 2023/24 term as it’s reported by ProFootballTalk that half of all the money bet in the offseason in such regard has been on Arizona.
Who could blame anyone for thinking the Cards will have an underwhelming season given that they have released one of the best wideouts in the league, having come off a 4-13 record with a quarterback whose health status is still uncertain?
Meanwhile, the Cards have brought in Jonathan Gannon as their head coach after firing Kliff Kingsbury. Gannon was the defensive coordinator at Philadelphia from 2021, leaving the Eagles to take over as head coach in AZ after the Super Bowl.
While the new coach is likely to be given time, it could be a make-or-break year for Kyler Murray as he had career lows in starts last season, with 11, as well as passing yards and touchdowns (2,368 and 14), while he threw seven interceptions.
Maybe they get off to a good start as they’re to play their first game against the Washington Commanders and could leave punters nervous with a win.
