We’re just about six hours away from the start of the 2019 NFL Draft and rumors continue to fly about what the Arizona Cardinals might do with the #1 overall draft pick.
The latest comes by way of Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, who reports that Cardinals General Manager Steve Keim reached out to former Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and informed him he is still in the running to be the first overall pick.
That rumor pretty much trumps the many experts who still believe the Cards will select former Oklahoma Sooners QB Kyler Murray with the 1st pick.
The 21-year-old registered 19.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 2018.
“I’m the best player in the whole draft class, because of the things I can do on the field and off the field,” he told Yahoo Sports’ Matt Harmon.
