The Arizona Cardinals were already a mess, as they ended the 2018 season with the worst record and netted them the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft that ultimately became QB Kyler Murray.
Murray is fully expected to be the starter when the season begins, but there are three other quarterbacks that aren’t even on the current roster that the team still has to pay millions to.
Josh Rosen, who they selected in the 2018 Draft, was traded to the Miami Dolphins with a contract that accounts for half of they Cardinals’ dead cap money toward QBs.
The Cardinals haven’t had a viable starter at QB since Kurt Warner who last played for the team in 2009. That is saying a lot.
