Jonathan Ward just made what could very well go down as the catch of the year.
In the second quarter, the Cardinals running back was part of a fake punt that saw him make a catch by pinning the ball to the back of the helmet of a Cowboys player. It was a big catch that helped keep the Cardinals’ drive alive, as they look to get back in the win column after three straight losses.
We’re used to seeing DeAndre Hopkins make these types of catches, but with him being out for the season, I guess Jonathan Ward felt he had to step up.
The Cardinals’ offense would go on to make that catch count, as they drove the length of the field and Kyler Murray found Antoine Wesley for a one-yard touchdown on 4th & goal from the one. That gave the Cardinals a 10-0 lead over the Cowboys.
