Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort didn’t seem awfully impressed about his team closing in on a victory over the heavily-favored Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Arizona was just yards away from taking a lead on the Eagles inside the final minute of the fourth quarter on Sunday. But in the clip below, Mr. Ossenfort didn’t seem so keen about his team being on the verge of a stunning victory:
Mind you, Ossenfort was seen getting fired up after the big win…
As the MLFootball X/Twitter account noted, it’s perhaps because he knew his team was likely to lose out on the chance to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. Arizona’s win, coupled with losses by the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots, currently have Ossenfort’s group in the No. 4 spot of the 2024 NFL Draft.
It’s widely expected that Harrison Jr. (a star wideout from Ohio State), USC QB Caleb Williams and North Carolina signal-caller Drake Maye will be the top three picks in 2024. With Kyler Murray at the helm, Arizona probably isn’t eyeing a QB.

So yes, Sunday’s win most likely cost the Cardinals the chance to draft a generational wideout.
