On Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals drew their line in the sand and decided that former Oklahoma Sooners QB Kyler Murray would be the guy to lead them into the future.
In doing so, you would think the franchise would have possibly trade suitors already lined up to take Josh Rosen off their hands. That would be the plan if the General Manager was competent enough to figure that out beforehand.
Insert Steve Keim.
The Arizona Cardinals GM reportedly waited just minutes before the 2019 draft to start fielding calls about Rosen trades and in doing so, he completely botched the process and diminished his value in the process.
The team can only hope they can receive a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Rosen on day two of the draft at this point. No team is going to surrender a 2020 1st-round pick for an unproven QB now.
