One Arizona Cardinals star had an unsettling moment with an overzealous fan and now he is begging fans to never step foot on his property.
Cardinals safety Budda Baker revealed in a tweet that a fan tried to enter his house in a misguided attempt to meet him. Instead, the unknown person terrified his sister as the person went inside his gate.
“My little sister was terrified today because a fan went into my gate of my house and walked down to my garage where she was leaving… I never thought I would need to say this but PLEASE DO NOT enter my house wanting to greet me.,” Baker tweeted. “That is my HOME. I will Die to protect the People in it. If that was me I would have drawn my weapon on you quick. I don’t know who you are pulling into my house. So once again PLEASE do not come to my home thinking it is appropriate to ask to meet me. Thank you.”
Following his fifth NFL season, Baker is trying to recover from a nasty injury he suffered in the Cardinals’ playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The safety tried to make a tackle, but was clearly knocked unconscious and had to be carted off and taken to the hospital with a concussion. He is expected to make a full recovery. Following the injury Baker released a statement and made it clear that he would be okay.
“Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers from everyone,” Baker said in the statement. “I appreciate you guys. Everything came out clean. I am going to make a full recovery, so definitely blessed. I am excited to get out of this hospital and back to Arizona. I have not been able to shower, still stink and (am) just ready to get back home and be with my family. Love you guys, appreciate all y’all always sending love.”
