Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn’t one to usually engage in trash talk, but he certainly brought it all during Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.
“Inside the NFL” shared a viral clip of a mic’d up Mahomes taunting Ravens superstar safety Kyle Hamilton after Travis Kelce opened the scoring with a 19-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter — with Hamilton in coverage.
Mahomes can be heard screaming to Kelce (with Hamilton in close proximity), “They can’t (expletive) guard you! He can’t (expletive) guard him! He can’t (expletive) guard him, dog!”
Tell them how it is, Patrick.
The Chiefs never trailed in the game, needing only 17 points against likely MVP winner Lamar Jackson and the Ravens to win a second straight AFC Championship. With that, Kansas City is set to play in their fourth Super Bowl over the last years, with the chance to clinch “dynasty” status against the San Francisco 49ers.
Mahomes had a rather pedestrian day against Baltimore, completing 30 of 39 pass attempts for only 241 yards and a touchdown. He didn’t turn the ball over once, however, and the Chiefs ran out the clock on their final drive to prevent a late Jackson comeback.

The Chiefs will now try to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, who won consecutive titles in 2003 and ’04. Kansas City opens as a slight 2.5-point underdog against Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers for the big game.
