Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams is being sued for an alleged assault stemming from a game against the Kansas City Chiefs last season.
Adams was shown on camera shoving an accredited media worker and knocking him over while walking off the field following a loss to the Chiefs back in October. The individual in question, Park Zebley, has filed a lawsuit against the wideout as he climbed to have suffered whiplash, as well as headaches and a minor concussion.
Zebley was working as a freelance photographer for ESPN at the time of the incident that led to Adams being charged with misdemeanor assault. The Kansas City Star now reports that the alleged victim is taking the WR to task himself and is also suing both teams, plus the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority.
“A municipal misdemeanor battery charge is not sufficient,” he told the publication. “I’m looking for justice. You can’t shove someone down and walk off like it didn’t happen. Not in real life.”
The six-time Pro Bowler is being sued for one count of battery while the Raiders are being sued for a single count of vicarious liability and ratification and another count of negligent supervision.

Zebley also noted he was in fear for his life because his identity was made public, resulting in death threats from Raiders fans.

“In the days that followed, media and various fans of the Las Vegas Raiders and Adams discovered (Zebley’s) identity, circulated his contact information, and made death threats against him, as well as other generally vile comments,” the lawsuit reads. “(Zebley) felt concerned for his own safety and sought counseling and stayed away from his apartment.”
While Davante hasn’t been punished by the NFL, he could get hit with a suspension once the legal process is over.
