The first day of the NFL Draft is supposed to be a day of excitement and newfound hope for every NFL team (except the Rams, of course, who never seem to have any picks).
With a bunch of new players set to be added to your roster throughout the course of the weekend, there’s plenty to look forward to for fans and front offices alike. However, things couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start for the Jacksonville Jaguars as we approach the final hours before the start of the 2023 NFL Draft.
According to sources, Jaguars star left tackle Cam Robinson has been suspended by the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
According to ESPN, the league is still awaiting the results of Robinson’s B sample before determining his punishment. This would be the first offense for the former second-round pick, and his punishment would be either two, six or eight games, depending on which substance he was found to be using.
The Jags already lost 2022 starting right tackle Jawaan Taylor in free agency when he signed with the Chiefs. Now that they’ll be without their left tackle as well for the start of the season, it could very-well adjust the Jaguars’ draft plans as they head into tonight with the 24th overall pick.

At the moment, the Jaguars will be heading into the 2023 season with Walker Little, Josh Wells and Coy Cronk as the only three tackles on their roster. Don’t be surprised if they have their eye on someone like Georgia’s Broderick Jones or Oklahoma’s Anton Harrison during the first round of tonight’s draft.
