The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without one of their key players for the first four games of the 2023 season.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jaguars’ standout offensive tackle Cam Robinson was handed a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s PEDs policy. He’ll be eligible to return in the club’s Week 5 game in London against the Buffalo Bills.
It’s been a busy day at the NFL’s disciplinary office. Earlier on Thursday, the league suspended Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry of the Indianapolis Colts as well as free agent Demetrius Taylor for violating the NFL’s gambling policies. All three players will be suspended for at least the entirety of 2023, and the Colts subsequently waived both Rodgers and Berry.
As well, Tennessee Titans’ offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was handed a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s gambling policy.
The Jaguars drafted Robinson 34th overall in 2017. The Alabama product has emerged as a mainstay on Jacksonville’s offensive line, earning a three-year, $54 million extension from the club last offseason.

With Robinson suspended for four games, the Jaguars could turn to rookie Anton Harrison (the club’s 2023 first-round pick) to start at left tackle for the time being. Iowa product Coy Cronk is listed as the third offensive tackle on Jacksonville’s o-line.
Jacksonville will open their 2023 season on the road against the AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 10.
