The New England Patriots likely became a popular team to use when Madden 21 is officially released and it’s all because the team signed Cam Newton to the squad.
However, fans may hesitate to use the Patriots once they see that Newton yielded a low rating in Madden 21.
Newton received a 78 overall rating, which is the lowest rating he’s gotten since his rookie season in 2011. It was just four years ago when Newton was a 94 overall.
Newton has dealt with multiple injuries in the last two seasons, missing 16 games in total. The last time we saw Newton healthy was in the first half of the 2018 season where he combined for 2,235 total yards, 19 total touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Despite his previous injury concerns, Newton appears to be 100 percent healthy entering the 2020 season. His often released hype videos also show a man who is motivated and has a chip on his shoulder as he looks to prove to the world that he can return to form.
