Cam Newton did not play at all during the 2022 season, but that does not mean he is finished playing football.
Free agent QB Cam Newton announced via his Twitter account that he will be throwing for teams at Auburn’s upcoming Pro Day.
He also had a stern message to his doubters.
“Ain’t 32 (expletive) better than me”
Cam Newton, the Heisman Trophy winner, and national champion reportedly remained a free agent last year because he did not want to be a backup.
He is an 11-year NFL veteran who has spent 10 seasons with the Carolina Panthers and one with the New England Patriots in 2020. He’s a three-time Pro Bowler and won league MVP during his first-team All-Pro 2015 season when he led the Panthers to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl berth.

His passing has taken a huge hit in recent years, but he still has value in short-yardage and red-zone situations, especially as a runner.
In 2021, Newton appeared in eight games for the Panthers and passed for 684 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions to go along with 230 yards rushing and five touchdowns.
