Cam Newton is back! And he wanted everyone at State Farm Stadium to know that.
In the very first quarter of Cam’s first game back with the Panthers, the former MVP quarterback made his presence known by scoring a rushing touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals on a 2nd & Goal play. This was Newton’s very first play with his old team after signing back with them days ago following news of Sam Darnold’s injury.

P.J. Walker started the game for the Panthers, but we can obviously expect to see Newton take some snaps under center for Matt Rhule’s club. The expectations is that Cam will eventually inherit the starting job one he’s up to speed on the team’s playbook.
