For the second-straight day, Cam Newton is going viral on social media, but this time it’s because he was speaking highly of a former college teammate.
On Monday, a clip surfaced of the Patriots QB recalling a story from his days with the Florida Gators where he was holding a clipboard for Urban Meyer’s team. One of his former Gators teammates was Percy Harvin.
Newton shared a story on the I Am Athlete podcast about Harvin and how he was used against the LSU Tigers.
On the opening series of the 2008 game, Tim Tebow connected with Harvin for a 70-yard touchdown to give the Gators an early 7-0 lead.
The Gators would win that game, 51-21.
