Cameron Jordan’s role in Week 15’s marquee match-up against the Chiefs ended prematurely because of his actions on the field.
Jordan was ejected for punching Chiefs lineman Andrew Wylie early in the fourth quarter of New Orleans’ 32-29 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Saints defensive end was initially flagged for unnecessary roughness, but after officials determined he’d attempted and landed a right-handed punch, he was tossed from the game.
Jordan took to social media following the loss to post a message about what happened:
“No excuses! No matter how I feel about it, an ejectable offense was the outcome, I hurt the squad, and in the 4th qtr on a crucial drive! that’s on me! This loss on me! Can’t happen! Whatever the correction I will be better,” he tweeted.
New Orleans fell to 10-4 with the loss.
