It’s a missed call that is going to be talked about for years to come after the New Orleans Saints were robbed of the opportunity to take their talents to the Super Bowl following a clear and blatant pass interference call.
On a 3rd down pass from QB Drew Brees to Tommylee Lewis — Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman would come barreling in and smash the WR well before the ball got there, but there was no call on the field. No PI, no helmet-to-helmet, no unnecessary roughness, NOTHING!
The Saints would go on to lose in overtime.
Following the game, reporters caught up with Cam Jordan to get his thoughts on that controversial play, and he had a hilarious reason as to why the refs missed that call.
He clearly wasn’t happy when he said that as this loss is going to sting for quite some time.
