Cameron Dantzler is not a happy man, despite the team winning on Sunday.
The Minnesota second-year cornerback is still upset with his playing time and alluded to it with a deleted tweet.
The former Mississippi State Bulldogs star was benched earlier in the season and spoke about it.
“It was quite a surprise. But I felt like they humbled me and made me hungry. [So I] came to practice each day and worked harder so that won’t ever happen again,” he said.
The team’s No. 1 cornerback a year ago as a rookie, Dantzler was penned as the team’s most significant breakout candidate by Pro Football Focus in January. However, he struggled through the preseason as veteran free-agent Bashaud Breeland overtook him for the starting outside corner role.
Head coach Mike Zimmer said Dantzler would need to get better on special teams to see the field following his benching. His tweet is not helping matters.
