Could it be? Could not one, but TWO of the all-time greatest NFL players be making comebacks?
We already know that Tom Brady will be returning for a 23rd season, just over a month after he had announced his retirement to the world. News broke of Brady’s return earlier today, after he released a statement regarding his decision on Twitter.
Brady claimed that over the past two months, he realized that he still belongs on the field, and not in the stands. It put an end to weeks of speculation that the GOAT might not be done after all.
With Brady now officially headed back to Tampa Bay for at least one more season, Detroit Lions fan page @PrideOfDetroit decided to try and convince one of their own to make a comeback.
Is Calvin Johnson taking the bait? It’s hard to tell, but the NFL’s record-holder for most yards in a single season didn’t exactly turn down the offer.

It would be foolish to think that Megatron would come back at this point — at the age of 36, after taking six years off. Then again, if someone told you that Tom Brady would still be playing at the age of 45, you would have probably thought they were crazy as well.
Will Megaton return? Don’t hold your breath…but don’t count it out entirely, either.
