Tonight’s NCAA action will feature two of the best quarterbacks in college football in a head-to-head battle, with the Washington Huskies looking to maintain their unbeaten run against the USC Trojans.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams will be going up against the current favorite for this season in Michael Penix Jr.
Caleb has been knocked off the top spot as the Trojans have dropped two games but Penix’s Huskies have gone undefeated in eight games and will be looking to add another win when the two teams face off at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, 15 NFL teams have scouts at the venue. Thamel also reports that general managers from the Denver Broncos and New York Giants are in attendance as well.
Both teams have done poorly this season and wouldn’t be blamed for moving on from their quarterbacks. Russell Wilson hasn’t shown significant improvement from last season while Daniel Jones has also been subpar and is dealing with an injury.
With both of the aforementioned QBs likely to be drafted in the top five, it will be interesting to see whether they end up on any of these teams.
