Caleb Farley has broken his silence on the explosion that cost his father his life.
The Tennessee Titans quarterback lost both his dad and his home on Monday night as the residence was inexplicably reduced to rubble just before midnight, with neighbors claiming to have smelled gas right before.
Robert Farley, aged 61, was the only one killed as a result and was memorialized by his son, who gathered with over 100 people in Catawba County in North Carolina.
“My father was a stand-up guy,” an emotional Farley said to Nexstar’s WJZY while the memorial went on. “He raised me to be a stand-up guy.”
The gathering took place around the Superior Barber Styling Center, a barbershop that has been in the Farley family since 1999, with Robert and his brother having purchased it back then.
“I grew up in this barbershop since I was a little kid,” the CB added. “Since I was a little kid.”

Losing his father has been especially hard on the player as he lost his mom, Robin, to cancer in 2018.
“I just lean on my faith. That’s all I can do,” he noted. That’s all I got. I’ve had a pretty wild past five years, six years. I’m a fighter, though.”
The 24-year-old told the outlet that the support he’s received is a testament to his family’s impact on the community.
“I’m thankful my parents were well-respected in my community,” he remarked. “They were very loved. God-fearing men and women. You know that it’s always a plus to have positive role models to raise me.”
Another person, 25-year-old Christian Rogers, was inside the home at the time of the blast and is reported to have suffered a concussion.
Our condolences go out to Farley and his family during this trying period.
