Last week the NFL was struck with the tragic news of an explosion at Caleb Farley’s house that left the father of the Tennessee Titans cornerback dead.
In the days since, more tragic findings have surfaced. The latest are the 9-1-1 calls that were made by residence in Farley’s Mooresville, North Carolina neighborhood who heard and felt the explosion.
According to some of the callers, a loud blast that “sounded like a bomb” could be heard, and some even described the floor as shaking and their doors getting banged in.
The cause of the explosion was initially believe to have something to do with the home’s natural gas lines, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Farley’s father was just 61-years-old. He was found in the rubble following the explosion and was laid to rest over the weekend.

Farley is entering his third season in the NFL after being selected with the 22nd overall pick in the 2021 draft. Through his first two season, Farley has played in just 12 contest, and started in two of them. He’s yet to record an interception or sack, but is expected to be a big part of the Titans’ defense this upcoming season.
He’ll no doubt be playing with a heavy heart in 2023.
