Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud’s unique journey to NFL stardom has been the talk of the league.
The Texans quarterback’s rookie season has finally come to an end after the Houston Texans’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round.
Stroud completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions in Saturday’s 34-10 loss to the Ravens. He added three rushes for nine yards.
After the game, Stroud spoke to reporters and made it clear that the foundation and standard had been set with the team and now it’s time to keep building.
Despite the disappointing close to his rookie campaign, Stroud was impressive overall by throwing for 4,108 yards with 23 touchdowns to five interceptions across 15 regular season games. That leaves little doubt that he’s the franchise quarterback.
The Texans were trolled for winning their final game during the 2022 season to miss out on the first overall pick, but it’s clear that was the best thing to ever happen to them.
