It looks like C.J. Gardner-Johnson feels good about not playing with the Philadelphia Eagles any longer, and it appears it’s because of the fan base.
Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson spent just one season in the City of Brotherly Love, but based on his comments, there wasn’t much love there at all.
While live streaming on Twitch, Gardner-Johnson was asked by a viewer what his favorite and least favorite part about Philadelphia. When it came to his least favorite aspect of the city, the former Eagles safety spoke on the fan base.
“My least favorite thing … is the people,” Gardner-Johnson said. “They’re fing obnoxious, I fing can’t stand the fers.”
It should be noted that Gardner-Johnson did have his car stolen when he was in town, so he has a reason to not like the residents.
Gardner-Johnson was actually great for Philadelphia in his lone season there. He played and started 12 games while posting 67 tackles, eight passes defended, and six interceptions, tied for the most in the league. He was a huge reason why the Eagles finished first in passing defense and tied for fourth in takeaways.
