The NFL has cracked down big time on the taunting around the league. But it’s safe to say that C. J. Gardner-Johnson got away with one tonight.
In the third quarter of Sunday Night Football, Tom Brady thought he was Michael Vick as he tried to run for a first down, but the ball got knocked out from behind and the Saints recovered it.
In the aftermath, Saints safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson hilariously got right in Brady’s face with his arms folded and somehow did not draw a penalty.
We’ve seen a lot worst that this get flagged. In fact, this may very well be the most blatant form of taunting I’ve seen all season.
The Saints defense has every right to be feeling good about themselves. Through three quarters of play, they’ve shut Brady and the Tampa offense out. The Buccaneers QB has been sacked four times on the day, and hit many more. It’s just the latest rough outing that Brady’s had against the Saints in the regular season.
